Delta-X Research empowers transformer operators with industry-leading decision-support tools. As a Business Development Representative on a collaborative and supportive team, you will play a critical role in expanding our presence across key markets.

Delta-X Research offers a competitive salary of $60,000 – 80,000 per year (based on related education and experience) a commission structure based on results, plus profit sharing! Additional benefits include Medical, Dental, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability and 3 weeks of vacation. In addition, you will be joining a collaborative team that focuses on positive group outcomes and works hard but enjoys a healthy work/life balance.

The Business Development Representative’s key responsibilities include:

  • Lead generation and outreach: identifying and connecting with prospective customers through cold calling, networking and email outreach, while researching, reviewing and building targeted outreach strategies using tools like LinkedIn. You will utilize CRM and sales tools to track and manage prospects.
  • Meeting and opportunity development: Collaborating with sales and marketing, you will refine strategies and improve lead conversions to book a specified number of sales meetings per month for the Director of Sales. You will attend virtual customer demos to ensure a smooth handover to the Sales team.
  • Manufacturer’s Representatives and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) Support: Assisting in managing relationships and facilitating communication between Reps/VARs and internal teams to ensure alignment with sales strategies. This includes supporting onboarding and ongoing relationship management with new and existing Reps and VARs and helping to coordinate sales initiatives, product updates and training sessions.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in lead generation or a sales role, preferably in a B2B environment. Knowledge of the utility sector and with SaaS solutions is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with lead generation applications, and familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn Navigator, and other sales tech stack applications is highly desirable.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).
  • Strong ability to engage in conversations that attract prospective customers and close deals.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of meeting or exceeding monthly targets.
  • Capable of explaining complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
